Musikmesse 2011 News

Screen shot 2011-03-17 at 08.59.28wKarlsruhe, April 6th, 2011 — Prosoniq announces today that its critically acclaimed sonicWORX Isolate software will soon be expanded with new features and turned into what was previously known as sonicWORX Pro. “We believe that this is an incredible bargain for our existing sonicWORX Isolate users: they purchased sonicWORX Isolate and they get the Pro version on the same license”, says Bernhard Bouché, Prosoniq’s CEO. While Prosoniq will continue to charge a nominal upgrade fee for major updates the price tag for sonicWORX will remain at $529 USD. Stephan Bernsee, developer of sonicWORX adds: “We have decided to take this step to thank our users for investing into our new flagship product over a year ago. We are grateful for this and wanted to return the favor by granting them access to all the exciting new features that we’re developing exactly at the time they become available, rather than selling this as a separate piece of software”.

sonicWORX Isolate is the world’s first software that specifically allows extraction and suppression of instruments and voice within a mix and has received great attention since its introduction at Musikmesse 2010. It retails at $529 USD with a 30% discount being available for members of educational institutes and users of the MacOS 9 version of sonicWORX. A feature limited demo version is available from http://www.sonicworx.com.

Prosoniq At Musik Messe 2011

messe-logoWe have decided not to attend Musikmesse this year. This will be the second time in 20 years that we’re not going to have a booth at the show. This is due to the fact that in comparison to the internet Messe has become less and less important for marketing and product announcements over the past couple of years. It’s too noisy to really check out new software, it’s too crowded for everyone to get a glimpse at the product, it’s overly expensive, and most retail sales people that visit there are from the Frankfurt area anyway. So we decided we’ll put a demo of our new products on YouTube for you to check out a few days before the show and we will of course continue to provide demo versions as a free download just as we did in the past.

Bold New Directions

Over the past 2 years Prosoniq has undergone considerable internal restructuring that in the long term enables us to better create and support products based on our novel analysis and resynthesis technologies. Computational limitations of yesterday’s desktop computers and existing long term contracts had prevented us from marketing some of our technologies as products for end users before the year 2009. Starting out with sonicWORX there will be many new and exciting products over the years to come. Watch this space for more information and make sure you check back often to find out about our latest developments.
