Q: When will your AudioUnit plug-ins support Ableton Live/Digital Performer/NI Kore?
A: Our AudioUnit plug ins are based on “Cocoa”, which is Apple’s recommended technology for graphical user interfaces on MacOS X as used in the MacOS X itself and many applications such as the iLife products. Currently, Ableton Live, MotU Digital Performer 5 and NI Kore do not support this technology. They currently support user interfaces built with the Classic/OS 9 legacy “Carbon” technology only. It is reasonable to assume that they will support Cocoa in the near future, given the fact that Carbon is not 64bit compatible and may be phased out on the next releases of MacOS X. As far as we know, Ableton have already announced support for Cocoa AudioUnit plug ins in one of their upcoming versions of Live. We recommend you email them letting them know that you too want Live to support Cocoa AU products, such as our morph and OrangeVocoder plug ins.
Please note that even though these applications don’t yet fully support Cocoa AudioUnit plug ins it is still possible to use our products with these hosts. The only difference will be that you will not see the plug in’s native user interface but you will get a simplified “generic” interface instead. All other features will work as advertised.

Hi Prosniq Team,
Will the ORANGE VOCODER also be available as a plug-in for Digidesign products e.g ProTools 7? I purchased the orange vocoder already 1 year ago and I was waiting to be compactiable with INTEL Macs. Now its ready but now I cant use it for ProTools 7.
Please help!!! THANKS!
